Join FABA – Build relationships – Grow your business
FABA meetings are a great chance for you to do some relationship building, networking, and marketing. We’re all working together to make Fletcher and the area grow and prosper.
The FABA Coffee Club meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month from 8 – 9 AM at Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, 235 Saint John Road, Fletcher. Besides the usual 1-minute self-introduction speech, at each meeting, a representative from one business has the opportunity to present a larger summary or spotlight of what that company does.
August 2nd– Michael Trufant from Crunch Media
August 16th– Anissa Brown from Paychex
Focus After 5 is a terrific networking/social opportunity after work. It typically
meets the second Thursday of each month from 5:30 – 7 PM. The Focus After 5 location varies, and is typically established months in advance.
This month it will be August 11th and sponsored by the Mountain Credit Union, 3270 Hendersonville Rd., Fletcher.
If you would like to sponsor this activity, see Teona or Glen. Their contact information is on the Contact Us page on the FABA website.
On Saturday, August 6th the Fletcher Parks & Recreation Department is holding Family Movie Night in the Fletcher Community Park. The movie Star Wars – The Force Awakens will be shown on the outdoor movie screen beginning at 8:45 PM. This film is rated PG-13.
The Fletcher Parks & Recreation concession stand will be open selling popcorn, snacks, drinks, hot dogs, nachos and more!
Parks & Recreation encourages children ages 12 and under to dress as their favorite Star Wars character. Any child in a costume is eligible to enter for a $50 First Bank gift card. They must register at the First Bank tent no later than 8 PM.
Bring your chairs and blankets or whatever else would make you comfortable.
Coolers are welcome, but no alcohol is permitted on Park property.
First Bank is sponsoring the event.
On August 10th FABA will have a table at the Chamber of Commerce Business Expo at the WNC Agricultural Center. We need FABA member volunteers to staff the FABA table for shifts throughout the event. Contact Teona Rodriguez/Events Chair or Glen Bonetti/Events Co-chair to let them know what times work for you. We have 4 – 7 PM covered so far.
Our annual FABA Business Expo will be October 4th at Fletcher Park. Plan to attend – or get a table to illustrate what your company does. This year, FABA is offering a free table to any non-profit wanting to exhibit at the Expo. Contact Teona or Glenn or any FABA Board member for more information.
